A Little closer to Heaven!

Kevin and I celebrated our 9th Anniversary last weekend. My parents agreed to come down and watch our kids. THANK YOU! THANK YOU again! We headed to St. George Sat. morning and enjoyed a day of shopping, eating, a movie. It was FABULOUS! Sunday morning we headed to Zion National Park and decided to tackle Angels Landing! It was a wonderful hike until we got to the last 1/2 mile and that is where my heart litterally STOPPED! If you've hiked it you know what I'm talking about. (Do you know people die up there every year? I'm NOT kidding) After a huge panic attack I decided to finish it and I'm really glad I did. The view was AMAZING!! I highly recommend it!

Here is Angels Landing at the start of the trail and YES you end up at the very top of it.

Switchbacks from Hell!

My sexy Hubbie!

Daring to look over the edge. Aaaah!! Crazy!

Kevin before the last 1/2 mile. Do you notice how skinny that trail is? It is only 3 feet wide at one point with a sheer drop off both sides of 1200 feet. Do you see why I was so freaked out?

View from the top. Made it ALL worthwhile!

I LOVE this man!

And lastly, just a reminder. We only live 45 minutes away from here, so if you ever want to see it in person....COME visit us! Southern Utah is GORGEOUS!

We had a great time too. I loved looking at all your Blog entries. I guess it has been awhile, but I am caught up now. Abby's birthday looked so fun. Claire is adorable. She should go in a contest, don't you think? I am looking forward to this Easter Weekend. Mom

wow, I think I'd have a panic attack too! Good job for finishing! I think you'd either be cured of being afraid of height, or never climb a ladder again!

Thats funny-John and I did the exact same thing for our anniversary in March. It was a blast! I was a little freaked out at the end as well though.
