Joyful

I actually sent out Christmas cards this year.  I was pretty proud of myself. Then, after reading everyone's wonderful newsletters, I started to feel guilty that I hadn't sent one.  SO, here is my last minute attempt...

Joyful

J- I’m JUST about done with school.  I start student teaching in February and will graduate in May.  Hard to believe this journey is so close to being over.  There were many, many times I thought it would never end.  I am super exited to be student teaching in Trent’s first grade class.  It should be a great adventure!
O- We’ve made some OUTRAGEOUS home improvements.  We are in the process of remodeling our kitchen.  We had no idea what a process it would be.  By the end of it, we will have a built-in-dishwasher and a microwave above our oven, both a first ever for us.  Not to mention cabinets that are not older than we are.  I am MORE than a little excited!  On a related note, our marriage has survived too.  YAY!
Y- Our kids are keeping us YOUNG.  Abby continues to enjoy dance.  She even had the opportunity to dance in the Stadium of Fire this summer.  She has added ballet to her repertoire.  She keeps our ears exercised with her daily updates of the dramas of a 4th grader.  She is my right hand girl and I don’t know what I’d do without her by my side.  She is such a great help.  Trent made the transition to all day school quite well, though he is not big fan of homework.  He started piano lessons and usually has a great attitude about practicing.  His giggle is about the sweetest sound you’ll ever hear and he’s always trying to bring a smile to our faces.  Sweet little Claire bear is growing up.  She started preschool and loves to learn.  Her favorite pastime is snuggling up to a good book.  Her favorites are anything Fancy Nancy.   Our children bring us great JOY!
F- We’ve had lots of FUN FAMILY vacations this year.  We’ve been to Vegas, Sedona, Phoenix, California, Disneyland and our favorite spot of all…Provo.   Time spent with FAMILY is our favorite time of all!
U- UNFORTUNATLY, I am having a hard time with U.  We are grateful that nothing too unfortunate happened to our family this year.  I really don’t love U words…so I’m moving on!
L- So grateful for the LOVE that surrounds us.  We have the best family and friends EVER!  We are so blessed to share our lives with such amazing, loving, generous people.  We are grateful for the LOVE of our Savior and his presence in our lives.  We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE you all!!

What a beautiful family newsletter to go along with your beautiful family pictures!

We were informed by Jordan that "KO is the BEST teacher in all of Kanab High Shcool!" We were pretty sure we knew that, but it's wonderful to hear it from a student!

We love you!

:)The dishwasher thing makes me laugh! I thoroughly appreciate what a huge difference that will make for you guys(having gone 2 years without an oven - I know what it means to Sacrifice). I admire you and Kevin for turning your little house into a beautiful, full-functioning home. I hope some day Dave and I will be able to do the same thing. Love you guys :)

So glad to hear you are all doing well. I bet you are so relieved to almost be done with school. I can't imagine be a mom and a student. Way to go! Hopefully we will see you all again soon.
